Description Aaron Williams 2008-02-16 03:45:03 UTC
Version: 3.5.8 (using 3.5.8 "release 33.2" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: x86_64-suse-linux
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22.17-0.1-default

When using Konqueror on our network I see it basically hang when it accesses certain directories, i.e. /home where there are over 300 NFS mount points (via NIS autofs) and over 800 directories.

When I hit this directory I cannot interrupt it to move up a directory or type in another directory.

It does not take much time to stat all of the directories, but I believe Konqueror is actually looking inside each folder which does take a lot of time.

This is especially problematic whenever I open a directory where some of the subdirectories are unable to be mounted (either due to misconfiguration or the NFS server being unavailable).
