Version: 4.00.61 (KDE 4.0.61 >= 20080207) (using 4.00.61 (KDE 4.0.61 >= 20080207), Gentoo) Compiler: i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-gentoo When I download a file using the "Save link as" context menu entry, with kget as download manager, the path and file name I enter in the dialog aren't used correctly to create the path where the file should be put. In particular, it seems that no slash is inserted between the path and the file name (actually, if I explicitly enter it, it's removed), so that the last directory in the path and the file name are merged together to give a wrong file name. For example, if I choose the path /home/stefano/downloaded/test/ and the file name downloaded_file.pdf, the file is saved as /home/stefano/downloaded/testdownloaded_file.pdf This problem doesn't happen if I don't enable kget as download manager or if I keep it enabled but download the file by clicking on it.
Added Lukas on CC :-)
I can confirm this behaviour on 4.1.0 Kubuntu packages. Probably the same thing as in bug #167526.
I can confirm this behaviour on 4.1.0 Fedora Core 9 packages.
*** Bug 168147 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I have a very similar problem with KDE4.3RC2 But instead of saving the file under /home/stefano/downloaded/testdownloaded_file.pdf, I would get a popup complaining about the fact, that /home/stefano/downloaded/test already exists and that KGet wants a new name instead of "test". So it seems that KGet ignore the filename completely and takes the last directory for the filename.
The same thing as in bug #201308.
I can't reproduce this with 4.4.5 Please reopen it if you still experience this issue with 4.4.4 or a newer version.
Works ok with 4.4.4, thanks.
