Description eli 2008-02-09 06:08:23 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from:    Fedora RPMs
OS:                Linux

I'm using x86_64, flash and nspluginwrapper. Videos play fine in Firefox. They don't in Konqueror.

Can confirm this behaviour. When clicking on the black rectangle where the video should be I get a pop-up with the folloing error message:

Second chance exception while raising fatal exception: Error name: Error, Error message: There is no public constructor for CNNPlaylistManager.

Here using:

Qt: 4.4.3 + qt-copy-patches-889120
KDE: 4.1.87 (KDE 4.1.87 (KDE 4.2 >= 20090101))
kdelibs svn rev. 906436 / kdebase svn rev. 906436
official flashplugin 10.0.d21.1 for x86_64
on ArchLinux x86_64 - Kernel 2.6.27.10

I can view at a random video on www.cnn.com
Can you provide a link or a video name of a video which doesn't play?

Currently... I'm 4.1.85 is available from updates-testing for Fedora 10.

With this version none of the videos work.

I noticed from you're post that a 64 bit plugin was available. I did download the latest alpha, uninstalled the 32 bit plugin and nspluginwrapper. Installed the 64 bit plugin. Konqueror registered the plugin but it would not work at all. Besides, it crashes firefox like crazy.

In anycase, as I mentioned, with the current version of konqueror available to me, no video works in konqueror.
Comment 8 eli 2009-01-16 09:32:40 UTC
Problem persists in 4.1.96. Since you seem to able to view videos with the alpha 64 bit plugin, I need to ask if it is possible that this is nspluginwrapper releasted?
Comment 9 Dario Andres 2009-01-16 12:44:58 UTC
Probably

May you try with a clean user account (create a new one only for testing) ?
Thanks

OK... Done. Ensured that Flash was working...

I'm going to upload a screen shot to show you what I get.

Updating... (it seems that I was not looking in the same place)

Here using:

Qt: 4.5.1 (qt-copy  958974)
KDE: 4.2.71 (KDE 4.2.71 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090428))
kdelibs svn rev. 960693 / kdebase svn rev. 960693
on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.29.1

on the site "http://www.edition.cnn.com/video/"

A Javascript error appears, and the video doesn't load. (In fact, that black rectangle doesn't contain a flash animation, rigthclicking on it will bring the Konquer menu instead of the Flash one)

The error says:
"http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/.element/js/2.0/intl_s_code.js line 0: ReferenceError: Can't find variable: Iterator"

However Firefox3.0.9 shows this site Ok
