Description Catcatmu 2008-02-07 12:29:24 UTC
Version: 2.0.1 (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Problem: Kget downloads a webpage instead of a file from rapidshare.com. Kget in kde3 does not have this problem. Downloading directly through konqueror (no konqueror integration enabled in kget) works perfectly.
Reproduced by: Try downloading a file from rapidshare.com with konqueror integration enabled on kde 4.0.1 .
Expected Behavior: Like in kde3, downloanloads from any website should automatically open in kget and download with no integration problem.

The HTML-file which is downloaded

I can still reproduce this bug with KGET 2.0.98 on KDE 4.0.98 (KDE 4.1 RC1).
Instead of downloading the desired file from rapidshare, it downloads a HTML
file that says that my IP already downloads a file.

When I'm doing the same in Firefox, it works. And no, I'm not using AOL.

kde 4.1.96

Still not fixed. It's happened with Megaupload, too.

For me it works with the first try on rapidshare, the second try or any following is not working... this is really strange, seems like a KIO-failure...

the problem is that i haven't finished the fix.
now if the connection is broken multisegment cant resume it due the site don't
allow to resume.

so the solution is to notify the user to restart the transfer from the very
beginning. any KIO will fail in this case.

but i haven't implement the notification part.

hope this clarify the problem

cheers
