Description David Benjamin 2008-02-04 23:58:47 UTC
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

In a lot of terminals, one can scrollwheel in the terminal to interact with the shell program in use. For example, in both the GNOME and XFCE terminals, if one less's a document and scrolls it in, the document scrolls. It would be nice if Konsole did that as well.

I have no idea how it's implemented though. I wouldn't be surprised if they just send up/down keypresses in certain situations. In any case, it is very convenient.

Konsole does send mouse wheel events to the terminal, hence scrolling can be done with the mouse wheel for programs such as Vim. I believe something different is done in the case of 'less' though.
