Description Robert Smit 2008-01-31 03:07:07 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
Compiler: from ubuntu 8.04 alpha repositories
OS: Linux

I am running the Alpha version of kubuntu 8.04. I have logged in to a KDE3.5 desktop on my 1st virtual terminal and then "switched users" to login to a 2nd virtual terminal as a KDE4.0 desktop. switch back to original session using ctrl-alt-f7 then switch back to KDE4 session and get a series of black&grey squares but no windows or desktop background or kicker.

I think it may be related to 3d desktop which I have turned on.

I am running this on Dell inspiron 1520 (the same model as sold with ubuntu in the US) it is using an intel graphics 965 chipset.
