For the record, the problem persists in KDE 4.0.1 (Kubuntu's packages), although it seems to be a bit less drastic.
Can you still reproduce this bug with a recent KDE version ?
(Sorry about the late reply.) Yes, I can still reproduce it with a build made earlier this week. I'm also getting pixmap problems with Plasma occasionally. (Particularly when resizing them.) Is this perhaps a KPixmapCache problem? One pixmap corrupting another?
