Description Hendrik saly 2008-01-25 23:39:11 UTC
Version: 3.5 (using 3.5.1 Level "a" , SUSE 10.1)
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.21-0.25-smp

Network addressbook (vCard via http from memotoo.com) shows up cumulative duplicates if i uncheck/check the addressbook or click edit and save. After each uncheck/check or edit/save the amount of contacts increase by real number of contacts (5 contacts -> 5,10,15,20,25,...) The dups are not stored on the server.

Maybe a vCard 2.1 issue. The server will deliver a 2.1 vCard (without UID).

Yeah, same issue. When we get a vCard without valid UID we give them a
unique one, so when you download a vCard twice without valid UID
KAddressBook will show two vCards with different UID.

Ciao,

unable to try with KDE 3.5.8 because of bug 157083
Comment 4 Hendrik saly 2008-04-06 12:22:22 UTC
any hints on this?
Comment 5 Tobias Koenig 2009-08-05 16:34:41 UTC
The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
