Description Hendrik saly 2008-01-25 23:27:40 UTC
Version: 3.5 (using 3.5.1 Level "a" , SUSE 10.1)
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.21-0.25-smp

Sometimes my groupDAV (memotoo.com) connected addresbook shows no contacts at all. If i add one new contact, it will be added to the groupdav server. But when i click "edit" addressbook and then cancel (or save) my new added contact is gone (but still present on the groupdav server). So i think the connection is ok, but no conatcs are shown up.

maybe a vCrad 2.1 <-> 3.0 issue. The server will deliver vCard (without UID).

Well, without a UID we can't handle contacts correctly, how should we
identify an object in an unique way?

Please contact the server administrator to either switch to vCard3.0 or
include at least a UID.

Ciao,
Tobias

Is the uid added/stored by the groupware server? Or did you add them
only locally? The latter won't work...

Ciao,
Tobias

The uid is added by the groupwareserver, not locally.
Here is an example:

any hints on this?
Comment 7 Tobias Koenig 2009-08-05 16:34:39 UTC
The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
