Description S. Burmeister 2008-01-25 13:32:49 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I noticed that in KDE4 some sites seem to have slower JS than in KDE3. I use a 1.4 GHz Athlon with 1.5 GB RAM and a Geforce4 with the nvidia binary driver.

Not sure whether it is related, but in .xsession-errors I get the following while loading: closeCacheEntry: error renaming cache entry.

This one triggers it a bit less:

Why do you think it's javascript? And I see some scrolling speed problems in #2, nothing bad in #1
Comment 2 S. Burmeister 2008-01-25 23:19:16 UTC
I get a nessage about a script. If it's khtml that is that slow compared to other browsers on the first page, please re-assign.

Not getting a warning, but may be I should try loading in gdb to see where the sluggishness is..

There hasn't been any activity on this issue for some time. Please check if this issue is still valid for Konqueror 4.8.4 or later and update the version field accordingly.
Thank you.
