Describing the bug

The red circle #1 shows the starting point of the selection and #2 is the
ending point. The red line is the area that should be selected.

I am not sure this will be possible to fix this bug, as PDF and PS contain Arabic and Hebrew in visual mode.

Comment 4 Pino Toscano 2008-08-18 20:48:09 UTC
Diego, this is bug is different, as it involves also the direction of the text highlight tool; this is why I'm reopening it.
Although, this is related to that, and most probably it depends on the resolution of that one, thus that's why I'm adding #128609 as dependency.

Confirmed in KDE 4.3.1

This appears to be a duplicate of bug 165001 , which has been fixed already.
Comment 8 jordonwii 2011-12-20 03:34:38 UTC
Correction: The above bug is for Kwrite and not Okular. Sorry. I am, however, able to reproduce on KDE 4.7.3.

I'm still running into this issue with Okular 22.08.0 on Manjaro KDE 22.0.0.
Comment 12 Yaron Shahrabani 2022-10-09 06:36:45 UTC
Mozilla's PDF.js managed to handle it somehow, I remember there are some issues with printing but not with screen display and search.
