Therefore, I'd like to see this info displayed when deleting/sending to trash: 1) For Folders: Number of subfolders and files 2) For Files: File size

Honestly speaking I'm not sure how to proceed with this wish ;-) When deleting files and folders Dolphin and Konqueror asks "Are you sure that these files should be deleted?" [1] and shows a list of all folders and files. The number of folders and the file size are - in my opinion - no indicator about importancy (a small file can be very important too). Did I missunderstand your request? [1] I'm not sure about the used wording, I'm not at home currently and cannot test it
The situation is that often I find myself cleaning up several similarly-named directories. The name is often not enough to be sure that what I've clicked on is in fact what I want to delete. Also, I could image that it would save some fast-clicking cowboy a problem if he sees that he's about to delete 25 GB of MP3's instead of that 100kb folder the "Management Proposal, Third Version" zip file created. I agree that a small folder can be important too, however, my proposal is not based on ranking the importance of the content being deleted. Rather, the file / folder name is often not enough to be sure that what you clicked on is in fact what you meant to click on.
