Version: (using KDE KDE 4.0.0) Installed from: Mandriva RPMs Mandriva Bugreport : http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=36344 there is an option for selecting background transparency in the konsole, yet changing it does not do anything. I have compiz working on this set up but both with compiz enabled and disabled (using kwin4) the transparency doesnt work Steps to Reproduce: 1. try moving the slider for changing transparency and apply (edit current profile->appearance->edit) , no change 2. 3. the problem can be workaround by starting konsole with the following switch: --enable-transparency
Hi, This switch was added because there were visual glitches on NVidia systems when running on a composited desktop if transparency was enabled automatically. I'm told that there have been improvements with the latest NVidia drivers so hopefully I can enable transparency support by default in an upcoming 4.0.x release. Apologies for the inconvenience.
robert i have no kde 4.0 for the moment so i can't test but this bug have been fixed on branch or not yet ?
