Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

That way I could press R for reply, and shift+R for example to see first the list of custom templates (dialog), select the template (maybe with preview?) hit enter, and voila -- be in composer.

Currently, custom templates are well buried down in submenus.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
