Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux When doing CDDB lookups, often the name of a CD track will contain characters that cannot be included in filenames using MS FAT/FAT32 filenames ( " * / : < > ? \ | ). Such files can be created on linux ext3 style partitions, but if you then want to copy them over to FAT/FAT32 formatted device (eg for backup purposes) this is problematic. It would be nice if Kaudiocreator could have a checkbox option along the lines of 'Remove invalid characters from encoded filenames' or similar to automatically handle this by swapping the invalid character for and underscore or similar. Due to the vast numbers of FAT/FAT32 formatted devices avaialble i would suggest leaving this setting 'ON' by default. That way all files created will have names that are valid under FAT. The user can still view her tracknames from the ID3 tags present in the file.
