Description Thibaut Cousin 2008-01-12 11:07:49 UTC
Version: 4.00.00 (KDE 4.0.0) "release 1.2" (using KDE 4.00.00 (KDE 4.0.0) "release 1.2", compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22.13-0.3-default

All other browsers work well on my computer, including Konqueror 3. I don't need any proxy, it's a pretty standard configuration.

When I type any non-local URL in Konqueror 4, it times out with a "Unknown error" message. I had a look in .xsession-errors, but there is nothing that seems related.

How can I debug this to make this bugreport useful?

Thanks for your attention.

Are you 100% sure it's no proxy? I would suggest enabling kio_http debug output for starters
