Version: (using KDE KDE 4.0.0) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages It seems to me that no matter what web shortcut I try (and I did try a few pre-defined ones as well as two of my own making), entering the shortcut's key followed by some query just sends the whole string to Google...
I can't confirm here. Are you entering the ':' i.e. google is gg:some_search_termsf
I had set delimiter to "space" (which I believe was the default behavior in 3.X) in the options. But if I in fact use a colon, it seems to work. Maybe that the space option is not saved properly because upon going back to the options dialog, colon reappears?
I can confirm that setting the delimiter to "space" has no effect: once you go back to the settings, it is set to "colon" again. Tested with compiled sources (gentoo, adjusted ebuilds to use branch instead of head), 4.0-branch, rev. 764336.
