Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux Using the svn755919 snapshot packages of KDE4 from ppa.launchpad.net on Ubuntu Gutsy i386 give me the following behaviour when going to www.freebsd.org On first load, the page is rendered blank, nothing displayed. When I reload the page, it shows, sometimes on the first reload, sometimes after the second-third try (or more, it seems to be at random). Randomly (ok, most of the time the first time, but not always), as soon as I try to use the page by clicking any link in there, I can't, as hovering the mouse over any text or picture that is a hyperlink, the text or image gets wiped out. The layout of the surrounding text etc. is changed to fill the gap, which leaves you with a page without any links.
I can load without problem the page (no blank page, this seems an old bug fixed in recent version)... but I confirm the link problem: mouse hover wipe out links... It is not funny :-(
Konqueror still shows the disappearing-links-bug in 4.0.0 with packages from ppa.launchpad.net on Ubuntu Gutsy i386. As FiNeX mentioned, at least the page now shows on first try. That is on the first tries I tried...
The disappearing links bug is also sporadic. As in happens all the time except when one is trying to debug it. Whee.
Well, when loading the page I get one of 4 situations: 1. Blank page 2. Unstyled page 3. Loaded page with disappearing links 4. Loaded page with working links. Very strange. I've valgrinded and nothing seems to indicate uninitialized values, so it has to be race condition of sorts.
It seems I can't reproduce this bug on KDE 4.1.0 / Ubuntu Hardy (packages from kubuntu-members-kde4 PPA on launchpad). Either it's fixed, or it appears too sporadically to see ;)
Here using: Qt: 4.5.1 (qt-copy 958974) KDE: 4.2.86 (KDE 4.2.86 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090514)) kdelibs svn rev. 968443 / kdebase svn rev. 968445 on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.29.3 I can't reproduce this bug. The page is loaded properly at the first attempt. Also, hovering the links doesn't hide them, clicking them works too.
