Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Environment:
- Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy)
- Amarok 1.4.7 (from distro) and 1.4.8 (from backports) with Xine engine
- Pulseaudio 0.9.6-1ubuntu2

Steps to reproduce problem:
- Select 'pulseaudio' as output plugin
- Begin playing a track
- Hit pause

Expected result:
Playback should pause immediately

Actual result:
Amarok completely hangs for approximately 15 seconds, then resumes and displays the "Paused" OSD indicator.

Thanks, but there are many known problems with xine's interfacing to a pulse audio output. This is not an Amarok bug, you can report it to xine.
