After playing around with the plasmoid widget thingies I managed to severely amputate the kicker bar (or whatever it's called these days). No K button, no nothing almost whatso ever, and can't find a way of restoring it to the default state.
Even if it isn't even close to release state it shouldn't be that easy to cripple it completely. And even if it was designed that way, there should be some obvious way of restoring it. I'll include a screen shot to show the current state of things.
