Description Flavio 2007-12-16 12:49:42 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.97.0)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc version 4.2.1
OS: Linux

When "dim inactive" desktop effect is enabled, kickoff menu is always darkened. Instead I think it should be "lighted" when clicked since it has focus and it's the active element.

By the way, maybe this is not the right place but thanks to all kde developers for the great work so far.

this is not something plasma controls. this is a kwin effects issue. it would be nice to have a way to mark windows as "never truly innactive" maybe, though that might leave the door open to applications doing stupid things ;)

whoops, wrong kwin component =/

By the way, I did have a quick look at this. Kickoff's menu is currently parentless. Parenting it to the view works fine although it doesn't fix this issue, so if changes in kwin + parenting kickoff to the panel will fix the issue that can be done.
