Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: dding text to dd OS: Linux When adding a text-note, i.e. the first icon in the toolbar, the note is added and the user has to right-click it again in order to add some text. Since it seems unlikely that users want to add empty notes to a document the "add text window" should pop-up after the user added a text-note, as it does when adding an inline-note.
Are there any news on this feature, is it going to be part of 4.1?
I'm also having problems with the text-note function. I can add text-notes to the document, but nothing happens when I right-click on the note icon which appears on the page. It seems the text-note function is good only for adding empty notes!
Note 1 and Note 2 seem to do essentially the same except that 1 is the complicated one (with right mouse -> Set Text) and 2 is the easy one which opens a text input window instantly. I'd remove No. 1...
I agree, it should take less clicks to insert a sticky note (annotation #1). The annotation window that's associated with it should pop up immediately. Why should you ever want to insert a text note without adding text to it?
This seems to be a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213258
The bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213258 goes a little farther than this one. I would suggest making this one a dup of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213258 I actually don't really care as long as someone settles down to fix/implement it. Thanks! Patrick
