Description Jonson 2007-12-15 12:02:35 UTC
Version: 3.5.8 (using KDE 3.5.8, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu3.1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-14-generic

After installing new clean kubuntu 7.10 I started Konqueror and open web site with some flash animation. Konqueror automaticaly asked me to install flashplayer (I don't remember which one). In the middle of installation it reported me he can't find some folder and gives me an option to skip. I choose to skip and at the end it was reported that installation was finished.

After installation flash animation didn't work. I checked in adept but flashplugin-nonfree was not installed (and I did't touch nothing, just look). I also checked plugin in Konqueror and was present.

While after that I installed kubuntu-restricted-extras and among them I noticed also flashplayer. When checking in konqueror plugin was present, but different version, but same it didn' work at all.

This is debug of chrashing web page with flash after installed kubuntu-restricted-extras:

Install Flash player 9.0r48, not the latest version (this one both uses features we don't support, and has its own bugs due to broken UA sniffing)
