Description David Bremner 2007-12-09 16:51:29 UTC
Version: svn 2007-11-27 (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Whenever I save a raw image in the digikam image editor, I always use
png. I would like somehow for this default to be preserved. I'm not sure exactly why, but scrolling down this long list of formats of varying degrees of obscurity (sorry if the large group Truevision Targa users is offended :-) is annoying.

Arghh. This is obviously not a kchart problem. Can someone reassign to digikam Image editor? Obviously I don't totally understand the bug wizard. Search for digikam, and Usability comes up.

David,

What do you mean exactly ? I don't understand where is the problem...

- edit a raw image.
- save (crtl-S)

I would like the "Filter" field to default to the last
file type I saved as (almost always png), rather than
"All Supported File Formats". This
would save a click + drag to select file format.

It would also be reasonable to call this field something like "File Type" when
saving

I think I understand:

When saving image in file dialog user has to choose file format himself.

In most applications Save dialog remembers last used file format saving
user at least two click (Click to open list of file formats, click on
file format). Simple thing but when going through 100 files it can be
irritating.

Ok Mik,

...and if i'm not too wrong, i have implemented this feature in current svn. Can you check it please ?

I confirm. It's implemented in current svn code...
I close this file now...
