Description g110223 2007-12-05 19:32:52 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

I believe it would be a useful addition to KCalc if it could convert between a number and the corresponding
ASCII character/string.

One could argue that this feature does not belong in KCalc, but I guess it would not hurt either, and
I haven't find a KDE app that does it as easily as KCalc could.

Just like we have the radio buttons to easily select between the Base, it would be nice to have another
radio button "ASCII".

One could then enter a number in Hex, Dec or Octal and by selecting the ASCII radio button the display
would show the ASCII character/string.

Or one could select the ASCII radio button, enter an ASCII character/string, and then selecting a Base
and KCalc would show the corresponding number.
