The device notifier should open dolphin with the device path, not open the home directory.

Works for me.
Comment 4 Michael Braun 2007-12-14 00:57:55 UTC
I tried it with the actual RC2 and for me it isn't working. The plasmoid inform me that a device is found. I can doubleclick on the shown device and dolphin is still opened with my home dir. The device itself is shown in the left bar.

im not impatietent just wanted to clarify that latest svn didn't fix it.
rc2 is 10 days ago or so ;)
Comment 8 Jonathan Thomas 2007-12-14 20:03:55 UTC
I can verify that this occurs in the Kubuntu KDE 4 RC 2 Live CD.

I stick my USB drive in and it shows up inside the applet, but when I click it to open it up in Dolphin, Dolphin just loads my home directory.

Yes i know, it's not a bug because the file used to test was just
'open dolphin'...I will work to fix it...

This bug should be closed as it works now. (4.0.0)
Comment 12 Alexis MENARD 2008-01-10 19:59:49 UTC

Comment 13 Fabio Correa 2008-01-23 02:50:24 UTC
It is not working yet with kde-4.0.0 compiled from sources (ebuilds) on a Gentoo box (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc-4.1.1). Thanks to you all people for your help and efforts. Keep up the great work with KDE 4.
Comment 14 FiNeX 2008-01-23 12:05:51 UTC
Fabio, which revision did you use?
Comment 15 Fabio Correa 2008-01-23 17:41:17 UTC
FiNeX, I used the 4.0.0 release, it is, no recent snapshot/revision. Thanks.
Comment 16 Alexis MENARD 2008-01-23 17:53:01 UTC
In trunk it's work...But i remember it was done before the release...What kind of device have you plug? An USB key?
Comment 17 Fabio Correa 2008-01-23 22:32:29 UTC
I feel terribly stupid and sorry for this one. The device was a USB key, formatted with a too small logical sector size (512 bytes). The point regarding the new device notifier is that it does not notify whenever a device cannot be mounted. I do not know if it is worth a new bug report, is it?

Sorry to bother you.
Comment 18 Alexis MENARD 2008-01-23 23:51:05 UTC
Perhaps you can add a bug for dolphin.

Please CCMail, i will complete your post!
Comment 19 Luciano Leveroni 2008-02-21 14:35:44 UTC
I'm using version 4.0.1 in Gentoo and nothing happens when I click on the device icon which appears just after inserting the USB flash drive.

Should I open another bug report? Thanks.
