Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux When I choose the konqueror view mode "folder icons reflect contents" those little overlay icons are shown only on folders which use the standard folder symbol folder.png. But I also have a lot of folders for which I use other folder icons (documents, photos, multimedia and the like). But those folders/folder icons do not reflect the content. I'd expect a consistent behaviour which means *all* folders to reflect the content by showing those overlay icons independent of the icon the folder uses.
Not implemented in 4 yet.
Can Bug 201850 be seen as a duplicate?
(In reply to comment #2) > Can Bug 201850 be seen as a duplicate? I think the reports are not exactly the same: 1. The present report is about the folder icon not reflecting the content if a custom folder icon is chosen for a folder. 2. Bug 201850 is about always showing a preview of the folder contents, overriding the custom icon that was chosen for the folder. Maybe the present report could be closed because the behaviour has changed in KDE 4, such that issue mentioned here does not apply any more.
According to Comment #3 I too think this report should be closed because the folder icon in dolphin now actually *does* reflect the content if a custom folder icon is chosen, it's just now that the custom folder icon isn't shown in that case. And that's clearly Bug 201850.
OK, I'll close it then.
