Version: 1.2.4 (enterprise 20070904.708012) (using KDE 3.5.7 "release 72.2" , openSUSE 10.3) Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.9-0.4-default When changing a mails read property from unread to read in folder, on the next sync with Gmail Kmail tries to mark all emails in the folder unread and then marks all the read read again. This is bad because marking emails takes ages in Gmail. So if you have a folder with 500 Emails it takes up to an hour to change a single email from read to unread. See a longer description of how I use Gmail together with Kmail at http://groups.google.com/group/Gmail-POP-and-Forwarding/browse_thread/thread/c7e82b27901fc019/d26e72998a034494
Looks the same as bug #151917 but since this is against kmail-enterprise I guess it does not count as duplicate.
Sorry, that should have been #151916 in comment 1.
It seems also that when dealing with long (10K+) "All mails" folder the program complains "the IMAP connection has been unexpectedly closed. It will be re-stablished automatically" while the status window says "Loading the status of the messages from the server" (both messages translated from Italian). Moreover, some messages get retrieved with loong delays and reanch the local cache not in the arrival order. By the way, I'm using the "disconnected IMAP" feature.

Here using: Qt: 4.5.0 + qt-copy-patches-936035 KDE: 4.2.68 (KDE 4.2.68 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090327)) kdelibs svn rev. 949044 kdepimlibs svn rev.949046 kmail svn rev. 949046 on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.28.8 Working with a GMail DIMAP account, I don't suffer this behaviour of messages being marked "unread" and then to "read". Also, with a 60~ test account I can't reproduce the "slowness" Thanks
Think IMAP behaviour has greatly improved in the KDE 4.2 line. I see this as fixed. Please report if its not.
