Description CM 2007-11-03 16:28:46 UTC
Version: 1.9.3 (using KDE 3.5.7 "release 72.2" openSUSE 10.3)
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.9-0.4-default

Whenever I try to compile tex files on NTFS or external FAT partitions fro inside Kile, I get
[PDFLaTeX] Sorry, the file /sda5/test.tex does not exist.
in Logs & Messages.

Compiling from Konsole works, so file permissions etc should be all right.

Trying to view the corresponding pdf, I get
[ViewPDF] Could not change to the folder /sda5

I got the same behaviour on an AMD x64 machine.

I'm a big Kile fan, btw.

Thanks, CM

Are you using an IO slave to open the file? (for example media://)
Comment 2 CM 2007-11-03 19:40:16 UTC
You are perfectly right - on a closer look, I get the error only with the IO slave. When I'm using the regular fstab mount point, Kile finds everything.

Thanks for the tip, CM
