(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kio-tar Version: KDE2 AnonCVS - HEAD - 11. Nov 2000 - 2300 MET Severity: critical Installed from: Source If I opnen a tgz file in Konqueror I get a file with a question mark as icon and if I click on it i get the konqueror error-message >>/devel is a directory but a file was expected<< If I extract the tgz from commmand line a devel directory is created which contains the files. The same happens for every .tgz file I try to open If I try to open the file devel.tar (same as above but decompressed first) I get the error-message in konqueror >>The process for the tar protocol died unexpectedly<< Kind regards Joseph WENNINGER (submitted via bugs.kde.org)

Can you send it to me if its contents are not sensitive or at least send = me a listing from "tar tvzf" or even better from "ktartest list" (ktartest has to be co= mpiled from kdelibs/kio/tests using make ktartest) ?
