Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux long usernames are abbriviated by replacing the middle of the username with three dots (...). this shortened username seems to be used for authentication on the ftp-server and of course doesnt match with the password. see also: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdebase/+bug/155051

Sorry, it IS NOT resolved! I am trying to create an FTP entry to one of hosts managed by CPanel software (they use long usernames like login@servername.com) so the full access URI to the resource looks like login@servername.com@servername.com, but when I try to open it from the remote:/ KIO folder, I always get a shortening, it asks me to login for the username login...com or something like that. It works bad also when I try using Konqueror to type that URI directly. Kubuntu/Gutsy Gibbons.
