Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages When I try to execute a command with kdesu using the -t option I get the following error: kdesu: Unknown option '-t'. However, this is a valid option as seen in the manual for kdesu: -t Enable terminal output (no password keeping) Can anyone confirm this? Is there any workaround?
This is causing kconfigure to fail to when it try a make install
Ubuntu has decided to replace kdesu with kdesudo, which is not developed inside the KDE project. Please refer to the following bug report for kdesudo: https://bugs.launchpad.net/kdesudo/+bug/158672 . Add any new comments there. Leaving this report open so it can be found by users running into the problem.
according to the linked bug, ubuntu used the not entirely compatible kdesudo as a drop-in replacement for kdesu.
