Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6KDE 1.2) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable PackagesDebian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux I've been having problems navigating various dialogs recently and found that KDE's minimum supported resolution is 800x600. I hadn't noticed before and wouldn't have cared except... Debian's EABI port has made my Zaurus 3100 a full-blown pocket desktop, with KDE apps just an apt-get away! I use Konqueror, KMail, Konversation, and Kopete regularly and other KDE apps occasionally. However, in order to configure them I have to remote X in from a full size display to be able to get to all the options. I don't mind if you keep the 800x600 expectation, but I suggest you add horizontal and vertical scrollbars on dialogs when a smaller display is used. There are getting to be a lot more smaller devices where 640x480 is a damn fine screen size and that have plenty of horsepower to run KDE applications. Thanks for considering this.
Sorry, I didn't mean to open this against KChart. I was looking for general "KDE Usability" for consideration for future standards. Maybe there's no such option for wishlist? If so, can you point me there?
Ok, moved it to KDE general.
I seeing similar trouble on an Eee PC with 800x480 - can't access buttons at the bottom of configuration panels for example.
I should add that I running KDE 4.0.1 in Fedora Development, so it's not just a 3.5 thing.
Observed the same problem on an Asus EEE PC running Mandrvia 2008.1 rc2, you must install compiz or metisse in order to use the KDE "configure desktop" screen, as the apply button is not only not visible, it is completely inaccessible. A new user will not even know it's there. I also reported this to qa.mandriva.com as Mandriva bug 39251.
Seeing exact same problem on Nokia N8x0 devices with 800x480 display. I mostly need Kontact (and deps) as a Kolab client.
Is this a duplicate of Bug 90940?
It certainly looks like it. Marking it as such and adding my vote over there. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 90940 ***
