Description Jindrich Makovicka 2007-10-12 23:03:30 UTC
Version: 0.8.5 (using KDE 3.5.7, Debian Package 4:3.5.7.dfsg.1-7 (lenny/sid))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.23

In Kaffeine 0.8.5 it is impossible to add two DVB channels with same Service ID on different frequencies. If there is already a channel with the same SID as the added channel, the added channel just disappears from the list on the right.

Kaffeine should compare the frequencies in addition to the SIDs before it decides to drop the added channel.

There is a similar issue in the EPG display. Kaffeine does not distinguish between different frequencies when caching the EPGs, so it can display the EPG for the program with the same SID on a different frequency after switching the channel.

please, give 0.8.6-svn a try.

The channel editor works in 0.8.6, the EPG issue is still present - once the EPG is loaded, it is displayed for all programs with the same SID, regardless of the frequency.

This bug is too old, for a version < 1.3. Closing it, as the latest version is 2.0.1, and lots of things changed since version 1.2.x, including the usage of VLC as video display backend, support for DVB-T2 and ISDB-T via libVLC, etc.

You may check on the upstream version and see if the bug was solved. The README file contains instructions about how to compile it. You can find it at our git repository:

https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kaffeine.git

If you find similar issues with version 2.0.1, please re-open.
