Description steve cole 2007-09-25 22:33:33 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

The ability to view or preferably edit MS Publisher files would be very useful. I think this is the last remaining MS office application that has no equivilent in linux.

I agree it would be useful, but it is not possible as Microsoft has never opened the specs for .pub filetype, they don't even have a stand-alone viewer
Comment 2 Ben Creasy 2018-02-23 21:06:57 UTC
... these days there are alternatives such as Scribus, LibreOffice, and markup per https://opensource.com/alternatives/microsoft-publisher - is this still a need for you Steve?

Changing to NEEDSINFO->WAITINGFORINFO while pending a response from an interested party. If nobody is interested, I recommend closing this as WONTFIX
