Version: 1.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux KDVI shows unusual red squares in page thumbnails while viewing any .dvi file (see screenshot http://picasaweb.google.com/homeofus/Screenshots/photo#5114058877443801026 ). When I resise thumbnails sidebar quantity of those red squares also changes. I checked kdvi on various .dvi files, the result is the same. My system is Debian unstable, kdvi is installed from package.
Example dvi: http://tmp.lightoze.net/files/report.dvi But I suppose that specific file is not the source of the bug. Red squares appear near every dot symbol in document. Also the bug is reproduced only when Type1 hinting is enabled. Here is what I get in console: kdvi (kdegraphics): ERROR: Glyph #46 from font file /usr/share/texmf-dist/fonts/type1/public/cm-super/sfrm1440.pfb is empty. kdvi (kdegraphics): ERROR: Glyph #46 from font file /usr/share/texmf-dist/fonts/type1/public/cm-super/sfrm1200.pfb is empty. That files are from TeX Live 2007, if I delete them squares disappear, but it will be better if you wouldn't display them in any case.
I have forgot the main thing - this bug reproduces for Okular too!
Any news about this problem? It still exists for version 0.9.5 of okular in KDE SC 4.3.5
Oliver, is this still a problem with Okular from KDE 4.7.x? If yes, please add a comment and ideally a file to reproduce.
Problem has been fixed. Now I use okular 0.12.5 on KDE SC 4.6.5 and I did not see red squares.Thaanks.
Thanks for the update, closing this.
