Version: 1.4.7 (using KDE 3.5.7, Debian Package 4:3.5.7.dfsg.1-1 (4.0)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-6-pm I have a directory in my collection that is on an usb hard drive. The problem happens doing this: - add some songs present in the external hard drive to the playlist - close amarok - unmount the external hard drive - restart amarok with the external drive unmounted, the songs are correctly grayed out - close amarok - mount the external drive - open amarok, the songs are grayed out until they are played. Is there a way to force amarok to refresh the state of the songs present in the playlist? Thanks

Hrm, but he shouldn't be seeing that behavior in 1.4.7, if he's *actually* running 1.4.7 -- at least not if it's the same issue. If that's the case it might be a Dynamic Collection issue.
I can reproduce it in 1.4.7. I'm doing exactly the same steps he described. I'm not using Dynamic Collections.
So you have explicitly turned off Dynamic Collections in your amarokrc? And then done a full rescan?
Nope. Not disabled, sorry.
I'm running 1.4.7. The behaviour is similar to the one of bug 143513. I should try if disabling dynamic playlist changes something..
I've done some tests on another machine with a similar software configuration... the problem doesn't occur. So this report is invalid, sorry.
Jeff, you were right. It works as intended, just tested again.
I've found when this occurs.. If I start amarok with usb disk unmounted, songs are grayed. If I mount the disk without restarting amarok songs are grayed. It's normal?
You don't reopen bugs which are marked as a duplicate of another bug, for all you know the other one is still open. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 143513 ***
