Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6) A button "draw simple forms" could be useful to draw quickly arrows, triangles, hexagons, crosses, stars, suns, and maybe others reguliar forms. In fact, this function could be very useful for me to draw arrows when I modify a screenshot. But maybe others forms may be implemented ? Thanks
Sorry, this "bug" needs to be in the wishlist, but the error message "You have not specified a valid short description Please enter a short description for your problem so we can easily identify your bug." has cleaned the selection. Sorry :-/
I've been asked to add a "palette of stamps" previously and I think it's a good idea. However, it's unlikely that I will find time to implement it soon. In the meantime, here is a way to simulate that functionality: Draw the shapes that you frequently need and save them in a file. When you need these shapes, open this file and copy and paste them as needed, with the selection mode set to Transparent. Also, you can clone a pasted selection by holding CTRL and then dragging the selection to another place.
Paint in Windows 7 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Paint_on_Windows_7.png) implements much of Yoan's suggestion (including triangles, hexagons, arrows ...) - I wonder if Microsoft reads competitors' wishlists? :-) In any case, it attests to the usefulness of such features.

An image annotator KPart that might be useful here is currently under development. See https://phabricator.kde.org/T6321
In my opinion, it wold be better to open one issue for each form - one for arrow, other for triangles, and so on - because not all will be implemented at once, and each issue could be closed when the feature was implemented. By this way it would also be possible to create a poll so that users could choose the one with the highest priority. Just one comment more: Of course we - the Kolourpaint users - would like to keep Kolourpaint a simple and lightweight drawing tool, but a little bit more powerful :-) Best regards and thank you for maintaining this software for so long.
