Description Nils Kristian Strom 2007-08-29 11:59:42 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

It would be nice if there was an option in the libkdcraw configuration widget to apply the raw decoding options to thumbnail extraction.

I think this option would make sense for people (like me) that experience vast differences between thumbnails and full size images.

I my case the camera provides a thumbnail in the raw file which libkdcraw extracts and uses, unfortunately the thumb is too dark to be useful.

If I let libkdcraw create the thumbnail from the raw file, using loadHalfPreview(), the results are much more to my liking.

Nils,

Raw thumbs are generated using preview embedded in RAw file as JPEG image.

For speed-up performance reason, this cannot be changed...

Not reproducible with digiKam 7.0.0-beta1.
