Description Alan Prescott 2007-08-26 09:30:51 UTC
Version: 1.1 (using KDE 3.5.7 "release 69.1" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.8-0.5-default

This may be a duplicate of 149194 but this is OpenSUSE 10.2 and the package is
kdepim-2 3.7.7.enterprise.0.20070731.674771-11.1

As of the latest issue of the OpenSUSE patches kontact crashes on startup - along with the default kontact modules I have plugged in kweather and it seems to pick up basket although I've never worked out how :)

FTM I've reverted back to 3.5.5-41 which works Ok

Try to disable the basket plugin and see if that improves thing. This really looks like the same issue as bug 141299.

I think there's a major glitch with the 3.7.7 KDE updates for OpenSUSE - I've now had Konqueror refusing to start with strange error messages. In desperation I've reverted everything back to 3.5.5. I've not had chance to investigate this is depth as I'm desperate to have a working system. I'll try upgrading a VM to 3.7.7 later.
