I get a 0 bytes bytearray, whereas 'lynx - mime_header ' http://webtv.tv2.no/webtv/metafile.asx?p=187391&bw=700' works perfectly. The asx indeed has an url as your posted and indeed feeding this one to mplayer doesn't work. KMPlayer does escaping of the url. So what escaping do you suggest to make it play? Btw. using the Xine backend works for me..
