Description Rune Jensen 2007-08-22 00:57:59 UTC
Version: 0.9.4a (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2)
OS: Linux

No video is shown when the video url contains an exclamation mark. Example :

mms://80.202.4.3/TV2_PLAY?MSG=WL7o8luhQoEa4R0d3a1Sti8XFqrh8Jex5gOVk2zCRoc\!&WMContentBitrate=70000

This url needs to be escaped correctly for the video to be shown.

The video is found on the this site (norwegian economic news site) :

I've tried to watch this, but I see that KIO isn't capable of loading
the ASX file. I get a 0 bytes bytearray, whereas 'lynx - mime_header '
http://webtv.tv2.no/webtv/metafile.asx?p=187391&bw=700' works
perfectly.
The asx indeed has an url as your posted and indeed feeding this one
to mplayer doesn't work. KMPlayer does escaping of the url. So what
escaping do you suggest to make it play?
Btw. using the Xine backend works for me..
