Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux When using ANONYMOUS authentication for IMAP, the possibility to enter username/password should be disabled completely. Currently KMail keeps asking me for a username/password combination, and if I click OK many times, access to the IMAP account works. Even if I check "save password" KMail keeps asking me. The whole purpose of ANONYMOUS authentication is that you don't need a password. If you want to reproduce, you can use "dovecot.org" as IMAP server hostname, it contains the mailing list archives of the Dovecot IMAP server project.
