Description Oliver K 2007-08-14 11:11:38 UTC
Version: 1.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

When replying to a mail, the old mail text is cited. There should be an option to auto-remove empty lines in cited mails. It saves space and increases the readability of the mail. Of cource this should be an optional setting per user.

Did you mean KMail? Partially it is already done, but if such option would be introduced as you described it I would opt for two of them:
1) empty lines _in_ the mail
2) empty lines at the beginning/end of the mail

Reason: removing (2) is useful but (1) for me not -- I would spend some time putting them back :-)

Many business contacts copy all previour mail traffic according to one topic at the end of each mail. And therefore there are many blank lines within wich are not useful to me. Deleting those would greatly improve readablity and increase the overview on the old mail contents.
(2) would not be appropriate to me, because it doesn't solve my problem and removing such lines at the beginning is not so effective for increasing readability, even though those lines are not wanted too :)

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
