Description Andrew Ash 2007-08-06 08:33:53 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Filed from downstream tracker at Ubuntu's launchpad [1].

A mistake in the .po file for at least en_CA and en_AU causes HTML code to be visible in the status bar. Analysis and solution available, with confirmation of solvency [2].

KDE doesn't have a en_CA translation.
So, either Ubuntu's Rosetta (translation tool) is causing this issue, or the translator is breaking the syntax without noticing. We can't do anything about it either way.

I'd suggest to have Rosetta checked (it actually should prevent such breakage) and also tell the translators of en_CA and en_AU to ensure that they don't break any syntax when translating.
