Description Andriy Senkovych 2007-07-21 12:55:50 UTC
Version: 1.2.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-8 (4.0))
Compiler: Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.21.5

When news feeded have more than one lines, first linebreak ignored. The example below gives more simple view of the problem.
news feeded is :
"This is some news!
Let the force be with you.
Have a nice day."
Akregator shows it like
"This is some news!Let the force be with you.
Have a nice day."

This bug appears on Kubuntu 8.04 Linux KDE4.1.1 as well as on Windows XP SP3 MSVC build.

The first newline ignored only on some news feeds. For example, http://bash.org.ru/rss

It's in russian but to see the bug you don't actually need to know the language. Compare the way it's rendered by Akregator, the way it's done in the actual XML and the way it's posted on the web page.

Some feeds (KDE-Look, planet.kde) seems to be ok. This bug exists since Akregator from KDE 3.5.x
