Version:           2.5.6 (using KDE 3.5.6-4.el4, CentOS release 4.4 (Final))
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.6 20060404 (Red Hat 3.4.6-3)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.9-42.0.10.ELsmp

You guys would be the first ones having this functionality.

It would be terrific if Kate was able to import and highlight part of a file being changed on the disk while being edited by Kate without saving its content.

Suppose you are editing a file on an NFS filesystem.  If someone else modifies the file then the changes will popup automatically into your editor.

The primary goal here would be to accelerate shared development but this could be used to tail some logs at the same time.  There would be no need to F5 and PGDW every seconds.
