Description René Fritz 2007-07-14 22:07:26 UTC
Version: 0.9.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Kubuntu Gutsy
Kde 3.5.7
digikam 0.9.2-final
Album and database stored on mounted Samba share.

When tagging an image the real file has 0 bytes and a new file with some numbers appended to the file name appears which is the real file. Example:

IMG_123.JPG 0b
IMG_123.JPG24401 3Mb

This worked in previous versions.

I found other files (untagged) where the original file is ok but there's a second corrupted file with numbers appended. Example:

IMG_7845.JPG 3Mb
IMG_7845.JPG10835 1Mb

This may not be a bug of digikam because I use gutsy which is not yet stable. Also it might be again a problem with network storage. But that worked in the past.

René

Sound like a metadata problem with Exiv2 library. Can you attach image files for investiguations ?

Witch Exiv2 version you use ?

Thanks in advance

Gilles

René,

This reprot still valid using digiKam 0.9.4 and a recent version of Exiv2 library?

Currently I use 0.10 svn/beta6 which makes no problems. I think the last 0.9.x version I used worked too. So I set this to FIXED.
