Installed from:    Fedora RPMs
OS:                Linux

[error message]: Attempting to rotate a write protected image provokes the following error box:
                Rotate images to 90 degrees

    <Gear>  Rotating image"dcp_1513.jpt"
    <Flag>  Failed to Rotate image
    <Flag>  Error in opening input file

I find the reported error to be very confusing, since the problem is opening the image file for *output*.

["What's This"]: Right clicking anywhere in the error box and clicking on the "What's This" that appears produces the info box:

(Continuing) A typo caused the message to be sent half complete

Progress dialog come from libkipi

This entry is not valid. The dialog is a _batch_ progress indicator. Files are processed one by one. There is an input file and an output file
