Version:           1.6.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

Clipping paths can be embedded in to jpeg and Scribus now can properly use them extended image effects. Attached a sample jpeg with a clipping path.

Yes, we want that feature. It is dependent a bit on Sven Langkamp's current work, so no ETA.
