Description rn_011 2007-06-19 22:35:17 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

It would be nice to have the ability to create profiles and be able to connect using specific profiles.

I have configured my wireless router to NOT broadcast the SSID, and i have to type in the id and password every time i want to connect to it.

with a profile, i could create one for my home or office and set the id, encryption type, and password, and it would make it so much easier to connect to it.

Thanks.

A Profile based UI is in the works for KDE 4.1

It's no longer explicitly "profile" based, but you can have distinct connections with different settings as you describe in NM-kde4.
